Found poetry is a type of poetry created by taking words, phrases, and sometimes whole passages from other sources and reframing them by making changes in spacing and lines, or by adding or deleting text, thus imparting new meaning.

#1 Perspectives

This day has gone by,
Like so many more,
In the sordid, familiarity of the place,
Rising up from black and white smoke,
Everything seems to wither in the bud.

“Look through the wrong end of the opera glasses,”
What did you learn of the small buds?
Little red flames, beautiful red flames, rather,
With rising white and black smoke,
It is magic within the dark air.

If one jumps over the edge,
One is bound to land somewhere,
Smashing the old,
Start;
And let fly.

Looking through the wrong end of the opera glasses,
We might begin to see new truths.

Every Other Day

Tomorrow,
A thousand splendid suns,
Will shine on me.
I can hear the birdsong, obeying my mood,
Like the keys on my laptop;
Tomorrow, I will be the God of small things.

Today,
I am a courtier in my palace of illusions.
In the vast city of djinns,
I go,
From dead to worse.
Today,
Things fall apart.
